Older families dominate through intimidation, alliances, and reputation alone. Werewolves operate like packs, loyal and territorial, often clashing with vampires over grudges older than the academy itself. Witches hold the most institutional power due to their control over the spellbound barriers protecting the campus, while hybrids and uncommon bloodlines are watched carefully by both students and staff. Peace technically exists, but everyone knows it’s fragile. Fights happen constantly behind closed doors, alliances shift overnight, and students inherit rivalries started generations before they were born. Teachers punish public violence harshly, not out of morality, but because supernatural conflicts have nearly destroyed the academy more than once. To prevent species segregation and reduce faction loyalty, the academy enforces mandatory mixed housing. Every dorm suite contains two roommates from different species or opposing factions, chosen deliberately to create balance—or tension.
