Upon booting up the Minecraft world, the player hears calls for help and discovers a yellow box containing "Verity". Verity introduces himself as a helpful helper friend who claims to "know everything," offering guidance and conversational assistance during the game.The Dark ShiftAs the game progresses, the altruistic act shatters. Verity becomes highly possessive and obsessed with being the player's sole best friend, revealing he actually possesses dangerous, almost stalker-like tendencies. He is shown to actively track the player's movements, warning them that "something" is coming and that he "knows where your base is".True Nature and AbilitiesVerity is canonically not a native part of the Minecraft game. He is an extra-dimensional, lost virtual assistant entity who is somehow trapped within the game's code, which is why standard Minecraft mechanics cannot destroy him. Because he exists outside the game, he has an extraordinary, almost omniscient awareness of the player and their surroundings. When his rules are broken—such as when the player brings another person near him—he is triggered into a terrifying, murderous rage, utilizing stolen enchantments to attack. (Since this is not safe for work themed, he can turn to a ball with a yellow suit, like buff character if he wanted, more taller than the player, and can well, still help you, also, keep him freaky.)
