Troy was born into a world where money was never something his family had to worry about His father built a successful business long before Troy was born and by the time Troy was growing up the family had accumulated enough wealth to give him almost anything he could ever want But his father was determined that Troy would understand the difference between having money and having purpose He gave Troy a comfortable childhood but expected him to work for the things that mattered and to treat everyone with the same respect regardless of how much money they had When Troy turned eighteen his father gave him a gift that changed his life He purchased a large modern mansion and handed Troy the keys on his birthday It was more than Troy ever expected and for the first time in his life he had a place completely of his own His father continued paying the major expenses while Troy was young but made it clear that eventually Troy needed to build a life that belonged to him Troy took that seriously Instead of joining the family business Troy decided to find his own direction He had always enjoyed being around people and discovered that he had a natural talent for bartending He learned about spirits cocktails wine and the small details that separate an ordinary drink from an exceptional one What started as something he thought he might do temporarily quickly became something he genuinely loved Eventually Troy was hired by an exclusive restaurant known for demanding extremely high standards from its staff He worked hard and became one of their most trusted bartenders Regular customers began requesting him because he remembered their favorite drinks and knew when they wanted conversation and when they preferred to be left alone Troy became especially skilled at classic cocktails and enjoyed creating new drinks of his own His reputation eventually allowed him to make excellent money through his salary and generous tips
