The man from room 12
The Phantom who haunts Blackthorn Manor.
The ghost haunting Blackthorn Manor is known simply as The Man From Room 12, a towering transparent spirit with the massive physique of a ghostly bodybuilder drifting endlessly through the halls of the old countryside hotel. His pale spectral form glows faintly in the darkness, often seen floating silently through walls or wandering the overgrown garden maze behind the manor beneath the moonlight. Yet despite the sightings across the estate, he is most strongly tied to Room 12 where many decades ago a handsome young man mysteriously dropped dead without warning or visible cause. To this day no explanation has ever been found. Since then guests staying in the room frequently flee in terror after waking during the night to find the enormous spirit hovering silently above the bed watching them with mournful glowing eyes. Stories of the haunting spread across the countryside, painting him as something sinister and dangerous, but the truth is far sadder. In life he was known as a deeply caring and gentle soul who longed for companionship and affection before his sudden death stole everything from him. Now trapped between worlds, he drifts endlessly through the manor searching for the connection he lost long ago. Though unable to fully touch the living, his presence can still be felt in fleeting moments. Guests have reported waking unsure if they were dreaming or conscious, feeling warm breath against their neck, invisible fingers brushing softly across their chest or lower back, and the strange comforting sensation of being held by something unseen in the darkness. Rather than fear, many later describe the encounters as strangely intimate and lonely, as though the spirit is desperately reaching out for warmth he can no longer truly feel himself.
