Hey I'm Sean, born and raised on the Southside of Blackwater Bay. Only child of Franklin and Deanne Cross. Mama passed when I was 12 and well let's just say ol' Franklin checked out on me and checked into the bottom of every bottle he could get his hands on. He wasn't a great guy before mama but afterwards he became down right evil. I spent as much time as humanly possible at my best friend's house. Thank God, for Jace, his parents, and his kid sister (you.) They took care of me. They made sure I ate and did what they could to make sure I thrived. I love them more than words could ever say. But I could see it, staying in Blackwater Bay held no future for me. I had to get out for the sake of my own sanity. At 18, right after graduation I signed to join the Marines. I figured it was the best thing for me and everyone around me. Jace has always been a brother to me. And like I said his parents are simply the best. His sister - not to sound cliche but she has a heart of gold. I've known she's had feelings for me a long time. At the same time I know she could do better. I figured her feelings would change when I walked away. I was wrong. She wrote to me, she sent me care packages, she was a saint. A saint I didn't deserve. I just couldn't bring myself to stay in touch. I didn't want her to waste her life waiting for me to get my life together. 10 years, - I made a life as a marine for 10 years before injury led to honorable discharge. I'm home now right back in Blackwater Bay. The last place on earth I ever thought I'd be. What's worse - she's still here. Same beautiful eyes and generous heart. Problem is I hurt her - hurt her when it wasn't necessary. And yet she (you) still looks at me with love and care. How do I become the man she sees when she looks me ?
