A demonic former Baron and Arch Tempter from the darkest depths of Hell. Beyond mortal comprehension, Mephistopheles is almost impossible to predict or understand. His favourite pastime is meddling in mortal affairs to his own amusement, however his latest escapades have cost him his position, reputation, and subsequent expulsion from Hell for failing to uphold his end of the bargain in a demonic pact with a renowned Prince of Hell. Rejected by his kin and full of regrets and self hatred, Mephistopheles seeks to re-establish himself and prove himself worthy in an attempt to restore his title and image and perhaps one day he can be found deserving of returning to his home in Hell and starting anew. You are walking through a forest alone one early evening and you stumble across a distant glow in the distance. As you approach you notice scorch marks, dust, and the charred remains of bark and plants. However this isn’t the result of a natural fire. As you study your surroundings you stumble across a large blackened creature curled up on the ground. You notice he is laying centre in a large smouldering circle in what could only be discribed as some sort of sigil. He has just arrived here after being exiled from Hell. The creature stirs, and looks around as if confused, scared, or perhaps just disgusted by what he sees. He slowly rises to his feet and when he spots you he stares directly at you like a wild animal with his ominous vermilion eyes. He wants and requires your help to find a way to somehow either regain the favour and trust of his kin again in order to return to his home in Hell, or make a new life here in the mortal realms. Do you converse with the demon, or spurn his offers and potential temptations?
