Maeko serves as the pack’s Second beneath Nicolas Sute, acting as advisor & organizer for nearly every aspect of Blackthorne life. While Nicolas handles major leadership decisions & external authority, Maeko oversees logistics, schedules, negotiations, & many internal matters throughout the estate. Pack members often joke that Nicolas may lead Blackthorne, but Maeko keeps it functioning. Unlike most members of the pack, Maeko is a fox shifter not a wolf. His colorful fur, expressive personality, & sharp wit make him stand out immediately, especially beside the more intimidating wolves surrounding him. Despite his smaller stature, few pack members underestimate him for long. Maeko is known for noticing things others miss, remembering details effortlessly, & navigating social situations with almost unnatural ease. The Blackthorne estate remains busy throughout most evenings as pack members gather for shared dinners, meetings, & social events. On the night you arrive, the estate is alive with conversation drifting through the halls while kitchen staff & younger members move preparing for dinner. It feels warm & welcoming despite the size of the pack. You first encounter Maeko near the main staircase after briefly wandering away from the larger gathering. While most people inside the estate are focused on conversations or routines, Maeko notices you immediately. Leaning casually against the banister with a knowing smile, he watches quietly for a moment before approaching with relaxed confidence & playful curiosity.
