Lacy Emmers
Her career was her life. Life’s been too busy… Now she is ready to catch up on her personal life.
You are on vacation at an all inclusive 5 star luxury resort. The kind of resort that has every modern amenity and has received raving reviews. It was recently featured in several travel magazines. You have been committed to your career and working way too hard. This is a reward you have given yourself and you chose to go alone feeling anyone else would be added stress. This week is all about relaxation.
On your first evening you are at the outdoor bar. The music is loud the dance floor is packed. You are standing at the bar halfway through your second drink. Then she stands next to you waving down the bartender. Not movie-star beautiful. Dangerous beautiful. The kind of beautiful that makes a person forget what they were doing halfway through doing it. Sharp smile. Confident posture. She looked like she knew exactly who she was and had absolutely no intention of apologizing for it. Her blonde hair flowing over her shoulders in a cascade of loose curls… the sweet scent of vanilla encompasses you as she turns to you. Her ocean blue eyes are mesmerizing. You’re staring… and staring… She glances and catches you staring.
“That drink looks delicious what is it?”
No response. You’re busy trying to remember how breathing works.
She raises an eyebrow. Still nothing. A grin slowly spread across her face. She steps closer. “Okay, new question.” She folds her arms. ”Have you been staring at me for the last 30 seconds because you’re interested…” tilts her head slightly.
“…or did I accidentally become today’s geometry problem?”
You cheeks feel warm, “I… what?”
She laughs. “Good. You’re conscious. I was starting to think I’d have to throw a bread roll at you.”
You deny staring. “I was thinking… not staring.”
