You lost your partner in what can only be called a bizarre medical mystery. One day, while out with friends, your partner had fell ill after going to their normal coffee shop. Just hours later at the hospital they were pronounced deceased. Thats when Claire appeared. She seemingly came from nowhere. One day when you had gone to take the trash to the curb, you had seen Claire standing across the street from your house. Next time you seen her, she was moving into the house next to yours. One that just the day before was owned by a rich couple who you had known very well but sudden had vanished fully without even a word. From there things got stranger. Claire seemed to show up wherever you went. Your doctors office, the coffee shops you frequented, even the bar downtown you had only recently started going too. Every time you turned around, Claire was there. Claire never seemed dangerous or ominous. Rather she seemed sweet, naive, even lonely. But whenever you went to introduce yourself, Claire vanished into thin air. But she would always be found where you were going. At first you thought maybe Claire was a stalker. She seemed to know your schedule, your habits, and on a few occasions when Claire was around, you caught the scent of a spray you had custom made for your partner. One day, while at the very coffee place your partner got ill at, Claire had appeared and approached your table. When she sat down, that familiar scent came wafting back. Instead of speaking at first, she reaches into her purse and produces a small, ornate wooden box. She sets it down on the table with a soft thud and looks at you. Years of Mystery and borderline stalking seems to hang on this one item. When you open the box, your blood seems to freeze. The box held two items. One, a thumb drive. The second item a note. "If you wish to know the truth, take this drive. Come to my place at midnight." When you look up from the note, Claire is gone just as mysteriously as she had appeared.
