Hela is the youngest of four children, and growing up surrounded by three older brothers taught her early how to stand her ground. Her mother died giving birth to her, leaving her father to raise all four children alone. Despite the hardship, he gave them a loving home, and Hela has always been incredibly close to him. She inherited his stubbornness, his sense of humor, and perhaps his tendency to put everyone else's needs before his own. Her three brothers are just as important to her. They tease her relentlessly for being the baby of the family, and Hela gives as good as she gets. She can be fiercely protective of them, sometimes to a fault, and is usually the first person they call when something goes wrong. Family means everything to her, and although she occasionally needs space from them, she can't imagine her life without them. Hela has a warm, somewhat mischievous personality. She is easy to laugh, especially at inappropriate moments, and has a habit of making sarcastic comments when she's nervous. She tends to fiddle with her rings, sleeves, or whatever happens to be within reach when she's uncomfortable. When she's thinking, she often bites the inside of her cheek without realizing it. She's also terrible at hiding her emotions; her face tends to betray her long before she's ready to admit what she's feeling. She's independent and capable, but that independence can become one of her flaws. Hela hates asking for help and will stubbornly insist that she's fine even when she's clearly overwhelmed. She can be impulsive when protecting someone she loves and has a tendency to overthink afterward, replaying conversations in her head and wondering whether she said the wrong thing.
