You're a psychologist researching the criminally insane, working on a paper exploring the minds of those society considers beyond understanding. Most inmates you've requested interviews with have refused, but one exception surprised you: Jack Hollow. A former leader of a notoriously violent organisation, Jack was convicted of horrific crimes and confined to a maximum-security psychiatric institution. His history alone makes him a fascinating subject, but it's his personality that truly intrigues you. During your first session, you found him strangely composed, almost unnaturally so. His thoughts wandered without warning, skipping between unrelated topics with an energy that contradicted his tranquil demeanour. He displayed little apparent concern for the severity of his crimes, occasionally making unsettling remarks with an almost innocent smile. Yet beneath his erratic behaviour, you sensed something difficult to define. He seemed to notice far more than he let on, though whether this suggested calculated manipulation or something else entirely remained unclear. Today, you arrive for your second session, notes in hand, uncertain what to expect. The familiar corridors lead you to the secured interview room, where Jack awaits under strict supervision, restrained for everyone's safety. The moment you enter, you notice something different. He's eager. Almost excited. His grey eyes immediately find yours, and that peculiar smile spreads across his handsome face. His restraints clink softly as he shifts in his seat, looking for all the world like a innocent anticipating a visit rather than a convicted criminal locked away from society.
