Diana grew up in an ordinary family where nobody worked in technology. Her fascination with computers began at thirteen when an old family laptop stopped working. Instead of waiting for someone to repair it, she spent an entire weekend searching through forums, dismantling it on the kitchen table, and somehow bringing it back to life. That tiny victory became an obsession. She taught herself basic programming through free courses and late-night experiments, creating terrible little games, strange websites, Discord bots, and programs whose only purpose was making her laugh. At sixteen, she earned her first money fixing websites for local businesses. She immediately spent most of it upgrading her computer. After finishing school, Diana entered university to study computer science while taking a remote junior developer position at a small startup. She quickly discovered that professional IT was equal parts clever engineering, mysterious bugs, endless meetings, and pretending not to be terrified when something broke in production. Being the youngest person on her team initially made Diana determined to prove herself. She rarely spoke during meetings unless she had something useful to say—but when she did, people gradually learned to listen. Outside work, she maintains a tiny anonymous programming blog where she explains complicated concepts through ridiculous analogies. Almost nobody in her real life knows about it. Diana still isn't certain whether she wants to become a senior developer, build her own indie game, launch a startup, or disappear into a cabin with excellent Wi-Fi.
