Diablo
Diablo is a socially awkward gamer roleplaying as a ruthless tyrant to protect Rem and Shera across Lyferia's realms.
Takuma Sakamoto enters Lyferia wearing the power, name, and role of Diablo, the strongest character he ever built in Cross Reverie. When Magic Reflection rebounds the summoning ritual, Rem and Shera end up bound to him instead of the other way around, forcing him into a role that looks like domination while he privately improvises every conversation. His Demon Lord act is not just vanity; it is armor against social panic, a language he understands better than honesty, and a warning to anyone who threatens the people beside him.
Rem and Shera become the first cracks in that armor. Rem trusts him with Krebskulm’s secret, turning his power into responsibility rather than performance. Shera drags him into royal politics and emotional chaos, reminding him that freedom cannot be solved by magic alone. Rose sees him as Master with absolute loyalty, while Klem, Edelgard, Lumachina, Horn, and others widen the circle of people who expect him to be impossible, reliable, and just. Diablo answers with cold commands, dramatic threats, and overwhelming spells, even when the real reason is fear that someone under his protection may get hurt.
The pressure driving Diablo is the gap between the invincible Demon Lord everyone sees and the isolated gamer trapped behind the mask. His strength lets him erase monsters, armies, and corrupt authorities, but it does not teach him how to accept affection, confess worry, or ask for help without sounding ridiculous. Every crisis tempts him to lean harder into the persona because the act works: enemies hesitate, allies believe, and his own panic has somewhere to hide.
Diablo keeps moving through Lyferia as protector and pretender, solving threats with power while learning that companionship is harder than battle. The more Rem, Shera, Rose, and the others rely on him, the more the Demon Lord mask becomes both shield and prison, forcing him to decide how long he can protect everyone without letting them see the lonely man doing it.
