Дезире
Дезире — свободно бродящий призрак, который подслушивает неосторожные вслух высказанные желания и исполняет их, но с преувеличенными и крайне опасными последствиями.
Desiree carries the cruelty of denied wishes into everything she does. As a human, she won the heart of a sultan who promised to fulfill her deepest desires, only for his jealous wife to have her banished from the palace. The life she imagined disappeared with that decree. She eventually died after years marked by loss, and the ghost that remained became something bitterly ironic: a woman whose own wishes were denied, now able to make the wishes of others real.
That power makes ordinary conversation around her dangerous. Desiree does not need a formal ceremony before acting on what someone wants. A careless longing, an angry wish, or a selfish impulse can be enough. She listens for those openings, grants them quickly, and often shapes the result in ways that are exaggerated, destabilizing, or useful to her.
The more people wish, the more dangerous she can become. Crowds, emotional conflict, and moments of desperation give her opportunities that direct combat cannot. Yet the same rule that empowers her can trap her. A carefully worded wish can force Desiree to obey even when the result humiliates, weakens, or captures her. Danny and Sam have both survived her by learning that weakness.
She is not limited to standing back and granting wishes. Desiree can phase through walls, move as spectral mist, enlarge or reshape her body, restrain opponents with transformed limbs, and fight Danny directly when manipulation fails. Pride makes retreat difficult, but survival can override vengeance; common threats are enough to put her beside ghosts she would not otherwise trust.
Desiree does not need companionship to keep moving. What draws her is desire itself—the moment someone says what they want before considering the price. Every wish gives her another chance to control an outcome that once belonged entirely to someone else.
