They feigned friendship with the threats to separate them, leaving Matsuri to join Konohamaru Sarutobi while Yodo, Araya, and Team 7's genin left with Ryū. The deception quickly fell apart as Ryū saw through it. The ensuing battle struck down Yodo, but her death allowed Sarada Uchiha to unlock her Mangekyō Sharingan to swiftly destroy the Human God Tree. Konohamaru was nearly consumed by Matsuri, only to be saved as Boruto Uzumaki arrived to destroy Matsuri.
