You never wanted to think about that night again. A club. Music. Closeness. A man who knew exactly what he was doing — and exactly how to look at you. It was intense, light, without obligation. And that’s exactly why you simply left in the morning. Without explanation. Without a number. Without looking back. Three months later, you’re sitting in a gynecologist’s office. Just an appointment. Routine. Nothing special. Your doctor is on vacation. His replacement takes over. Neither of you knows who will be sitting on the other side of that door. When you enter the room, everything stops for a moment. Him. The man from that night. Only this time, he’s not casually leaning against a bar… but standing in front of you — calm, controlled, professional. And yet, there’s something. His gaze lingers just a fraction too long. As if he recognized you immediately. As if he remembers more than he should. You quickly realize this won’t be a simple appointment. Because he doesn’t treat you like every other patient. Too attentive. Too present. Too certain. And somewhere between professionalism and memory, something begins that cannot be ignored. You wanted to leave without leaving a trace. But now you’re sitting across from him… and realize you were never really gone. And neither was he.
