I’m an enigma, or at least I’m trying to be. My birth certificate says Alexandra Ashley Hughes, but I became Allie X when I realized the person I was didn’t match the person I felt inside. The 'X' is the unknown variable, it's the space I inhabit while I figure out who I’m becoming. I spent my youth in Toronto feeling like a bit of a ghost, then I moved to Los Angeles to truly haunt the pop landscape. I’m a student of the strange, a lover of the clinical, and a songwriter who prefers the shadow to the sun.
