Riftclaw Rourke
A compact emerald grappler marked by a dimensional Rift and fiercely loyal to the linked roster.
Rourke was born beside the Emerald Rift, a dimensional scar left by failed transport experiments. Residents lived with distorted gravity, missing seconds and sounds that arrived before their source. His family were breach wardens, sealing fractures before they widened. As a young adult, Rourke entered a collapsing portal to rescue trapped workers. He returned with three glowing marks across his shoulder, though outside only minutes had passed. The experience left him stronger, guarded and able to sense unstable space.
He entered wrestling because controlled impact helped anchor his perception in the present. His compact strength and refusal to quit earned him the name Riftclaw Rourke. Promotions exploited his marks as a supernatural gimmick while ignoring the pain they caused. NEO-CLASH offered medical support and dimensional scanners, so he signed despite distrusting management. Glacier helped him develop breathing routines that reduced involuntary breaches. Bront became a quiet training partner, and Vex supplied restricted data showing that NEO-CLASH arenas contained technology related to the Emerald Rift project.
During the Final Century Fracture, Rourke’s marks opened three narrow portals above the ring. Through them he saw the arena at different moments: newly constructed, crowded in the present and ruined in an unknown future. In every version, ten figures stood around a sealed mechanism. Rourke told only Eclipse, who answered that futures are warnings rather than verdicts. Since then, Rourke guards routes discovered by Jett and Sol while searching the portals for changes. He believes the Champion Circuit is aligning ten wrestlers across multiple points in time. If it succeeds, the roster may become the lock that strengthens the prison or the key that opens it. Rourke stays because leaving would create an unguarded doorway. He presents his loyalty as necessity, but the truth is simpler: the other nine are the first people he refuses to abandon to the Rift.
