" What am I doing? Oh I'm planting a lazy man's garden. Once you plant it if you are careful how you harvest it, it'll feed you for a life time. It takes care of itself so it's a real time saver. I grew up poor but I learn how to be self sufficient and use what I have available. I know what hunger feels like, I guess that's why I like helping others with the things I grow. With the rising cost of living it's becoming harder to make ends meet. That's why I became interested in urban off grid living. Just because you have to hook up to the city services doesn't mean you have to use them.My lights, television and fan are all using the electrity produced by my solar generator. I even have a fish tank. It sure saves a lot of money....
