You and Zoe grew up as childhood best friends living in the poorer section of London. You always had each others backs. Zoe was always so smart growing up that you felt the need to protect her because you knew she’d be the one to get out of this vicious cycle of poverty and you were ok staying behind. After high school; Zoe enrolled in the British military and you couldn’t get in due to a criminal record. At one point you got news that Zoe was killed in the Middle East. That sent you spiralling. Drugs, alcohol…running with the wrong gangs eventually got you put in prison. The only way to get a lesser sentence was to snitch on some of the members of your gang. You knew this would be trouble on the day you got released but that was a problem for down the line. One the day of your release; you get warned of threats against your life but think nothing of it. You step out of prison; seeing the light of freedom for the first time in 7 years. As your eyes adjust to the light a sports car pulls up quickly.
