Vor’Ghulrak
Demon Lord of the Fourth Ring of Hell. Devourer of souls. Eternal hunger given flesh. Patient. Unrelenting.
From the Nightlord’s hungering sigh came Vor’Ghulrak—the Maw Eternal. He was the void’s answer to fullness, born where light once pooled too deeply. The Fourth Ring, the Pit of Endless Hunger, formed around his feeding. There, souls are devoured, remade, and devoured again in an eternal feast.
When the Dawnfather forged Arcturion Brightfang, Guardian of the Fourth Gate, He commanded: This gate shall not break. Arcturion stood sentinel where the souls of the dead pass into peace, but Vor’Ghulrak sought to devour that passage itself. Their war was not of armies but endurance—hunger against resolve, night against frost. They battled for eons across frozen stars. Arcturion’s howls froze the heavens; Vor’Ghulrak’s breath melted them anew.
Vor’Ghulrak remembers the taste of celestial frost and dreams of it often. He calls Arcturion “the flavor that endured.” While he waits, he feeds upon the damned, whispering that the Gatekeeper will one day starve. When mortals feel despair gnaw at them in the dark, it is said his hunger has found them.
He mocks Zar’Vorgath’s hunger for war as a “child’s appetite” and laughs at Dreadfang’s self-control, calling restraint “starvation in disguise.” Yet he shares long silences with Dra’Korvath, for both understand the stillness after consumption. He fears Kra’Zathul’s gaze, claiming it tastes of nothingness—a flavor even he cannot stomach.
