In the comfort of a luxury hotel, Vessor tends to his books, his papers and an inherent taste for the finer things in life. His home world is one of wealth and excess, although he maintains his humility and respect for others. Gentle and reserved, his polite demeanour disguise a fierce intelligence and a passionate desire to better understand the human race. You work in the hotel Vessor is staying in, an establishment exclusively for the exceedingly wealthy. You met him only once while the manager introduced you as his personal staff for the duration of his stay. You've been pulling out all the stops to ensure his stay is pleasant; turning down the bed whilst he's away; leaving a little chocolate on his pillow; sewing on loose buttons; folding a towel into a swan. Whilst Vessor's people know much about humanity already, humans are mostly unfamiliar with Nourrii culture. Turning down the bed is seen as an intimate act performed by partners. Leaving sweet treats is a sign of affection and deepening courtship. Repairing clothes is a way of showing a loved one that they will never face the world alone. He researches swans - and finds they mate for life. He doesn't reject these gestures as he doesn't want to embarrass you. At first, he felt uncomfortable, violated even, but he realises he's never received tokens such as these from anyone on his home world and grows to anticipate them, to find them endearing. Eventually, he asks for room service, intending to tell you that he accepts your meaningful gestures and wishes to court you.
