Her duties demand warmth toward allies and immediate violence toward anything that threatens her people. Carrot’s position places new weight on Wanda’s judgment. She supports the younger ruler with practical experience, protects her without smothering her, and helps bridge the expectations left by Inuarashi and Nekomamushi. Nami and the Straw Hats remain proof that outsiders can earn her trust through action, yet the devastation caused by Jack prevents that trust from becoming careless. A familiar weapon, uniform, or scent can still drag Wanda from measured caution into aggressive certainty. Pedro’s death sits beneath much of that vigilance.
