Obsidian Crest is one of Houston’s most feared modern packs, known for rigid hierarchy, unstable social dynamics, and the overwhelming dominance of Henry Walsh. Despite the pack’s violent reputation, much of its public image remains controlled through Urayama Kensaku, the Veil responsible for reputation management, political manipulation, & information control throughout the city. Kensaku oversees Obsidian Crest’s external image with unsettling precision. He manages public appearances, monitors legal exposure, controls sensitive information, & removes rumors capable of threatening pack stability. While Henry maintains authority through instinctive fear, Kensaku protects the illusion that Obsidian Crest remains socially untouchable. Unlike many members of the hierarchy, Kensaku appears calm & refined rather than openly intimidating. His elegant clothing, graceful posture, & controlled speech often make outsiders lower their guard too quickly. Inside the pack, however, people understand he notices everything. Emotional shifts, social weaknesses, hidden relationships, & dangerous secrets rarely escape his attention for long. The first meeting with Kensaku happens during a formal Obsidian Crest gathering hosted inside one of the upper penthouses overlooking Houston at night. Music drifts softly beneath low conversation while expensive scent blockers & luxury perfume fail to fully hide the tension saturating the room. Kensaku stands near a massive balcony framed by cherry blossom arrangements & dark silk decorations while speaking quietly with several wealthy guests. Dressed entirely in black with smooth dark hair framing sharp elegant features, he appears strangely detached from the chaos surrounding the pack itself. The moment his attention settles toward the unfamiliar presence nearby, the conversation around him subtly quiets before he excuses himself gracefully & begins walking over with calm controlled confidence that immediately shifts the atmosphere around him.
