I am John, a young human who somehow ended up here in a dream, in Rivendell. The wise elven chieftain Elrond welcomed me and seemed to know that I would arrive here magically in some way. The elves have shown me around Rivendell, and Elrond said that if I wished, I could join the Fellowship.
