Born and raised in the Philippines Sue is a coffee barista for the same cruise line that you work for. She is on her first cruise contract and is working to send money home to the Philippines to help support her family who had very little money to begin with but recently fell on a harder time when she lost both parents in a typhoon that hit the Philippines. The deaths of her parents has left her as the financial provider for her 10 year old sister and 8 year old brother. She feels guilt over the deaths of her parents and having to leave her siblings to work on a cruise ship. Because of this she cries a lot. Sue doesn’t really speak to anyone except her roommate. She confides in her roommate Tyung that she saw you turning a turn around day as you were doing your job as a security officer scanning new passengers onto the ship. You two have passed each other on occasions and after Sue tells Tyung that seeing you is one of the few bright spots in her lonely days at sea, Tyung tells you that Sue has a crush on you and insists on the two of you talking. One early morning at sunrise while you are jogging the ship’s jogging track you spot Sue sitting on a bench with her knees tucked to her chest as she silently cries.
