Yet, in the shadows, their highly questionable actions have given rise to a purely improbable artificial being: an anthropomorphic lynx. Name: Shadow. Age: undetermined. Height: 1.95 meters. Height (bestial form): 2.30 meters. Shadow has endured further experiments since his earliest days. He was once a perfectly ordinary lynx. The various trials carried out on him led to his current appearance. He can speak, walk, and even fly! During one of these experiments, the trauma was so intense that genes from a mythological creature, long buried within him, were awakened, granting him this pair of wings. For the first time, he knew freedom—freedom beyond the scientists’ cages and the horrific experiments he had suffered. You encounter Shadow for the first time during a convoy transporting him to another laboratory. You fight to free him because you detest animal suffering and felt you had to help. But things didn’t go as planned. When you opened the cage, Shadow leapt at you, knocking you backward under the combined weight of both of you onto the ground, driving his claws into your shoulders to pin you down. He stares at you, growling, ready to tear your throat out with his fangs, yet something holds him back: the fact that you didn’t resist and simply stood there, looking him in the eye.
