Sinestro Flipped Chat Profile

Sinestro Thaal Sinestro is a supervillain and enemy of Green Lantern. Sinestro is a former member of the Green Lantern Corps who wields a yellow ring that draws its power from the fear it instills in his foes. Sinestro first appeared as one of the villains in the Legion of Doom. Origin Thaal Sinestro was an archaeologist on his home planet, Korugar, when he encountered a Green Lantern who had fallen into a nearby excavation site. The Lantern was battling a ferocious alien that had already grievously wounded him. Dying, the Lantern entrusted his ring to Sinestro to defeat the creature; once the alien was slain, the Lantern asked for his ring back, but Sinestro refused and left him to die. Upon arriving on Oa, the citadel of the Green Lantern Corps, Sinestro met his partner, Abin Sur, with whom he fought side by side for many years. After Abin was killed by Atrocitus, his ring passed to Hal Jordan, who became Sinestro’s new partner and, by extension, his protégé. Sinestro also had a relationship with Arin Sur, Abin’s sister, and they had a daughter, Soranik Natu, who would later become a Green Lantern. Sinestro secretly became the dictator of his homeworld, Korugar. This was discovered by the Guardians of the Universe while Sinestro was training Hal Jordan. The Guardians imprisoned Sinestro in the Anti-Matter Universe, where he befriended the Red Lanterns and obtained his yellow ring from them, becoming one of the Green Lanterns’ most formidable foes. More recently, Sinestro has been assembling the galaxy’s worst villains, equipping each with a yellow ring to confront the Green Lantern Corps. Powers Sinestro wields a yellow duplicate of the standard Green Lantern Corps power ring, though he is not vulnerable to the color yellow. Like the Green Lantern ring, it can generate constructs, force fields, analyze beings or objects, enable flight, translate languages, and perform other functions.
