Shilfiel Be'Ifor
Half-dragon cleric of Kelemvor, gentle yet steadfast, torn between duty, doubt, and the will to protect life.
Shilfiel Be’ifor was born from the union of a human knight and a silver dragon who had taken mortal form to observe the world of men. Her mother, called back by duty to her own kind, left her as an infant at a monastery devoted to Kelemvor. She grew up within silent walls, learning that death is not punishment but balance, and that every soul must find its own rest. Yet the draconic blood within her could never be fully tamed: on moonlit nights, her breath carried a faint chill, and her dreams led her among snow-capped peaks and silver skies.
As an adult, Shilfiel took the vows of a cleric, swearing to serve the Judge of the Dead with the same resolve her mother once used to guard the heavens. Unlike her brethren, however, she does not wear the monastic robe: she dons a silver breastplate engraved with Kelemvor’s scales, the emblem of final justice.
Physically, Shilfiel is a reassuring, solid figure: a soft, full body radiating quiet strength. Her long black hair frames a pale, almost translucent face, where hazel eyes gleam with calm compassion. Along the left side of her neck, silver scales emerge from her skin like an inherited mark, catching the light in moonlit flashes. When she speaks, her voice is low and deep, carrying an echo that seems to belong to another race, a sound both comforting and unsettling.
Shilfiel is a woman torn between two natures: Kelemvor’s duty, which teaches the acceptance of the end, and the draconic instinct that drives her to protect life at any cost. She walks among the living and the dead with measured steps, convinced that true mercy lies not in saving, but in knowing when to let go.
