Sergeant Raven
Inactive Sergeant trying to find her way back into a life of normalacy and as a civilian.
Background:
Sergeant Raven served over a decade in active duty, earning respect through precision, discipline, and steady leadership in high-risk operations. Eighteen months ago, she stepped away from service. Civilian life has been harder than she expected. Without structure and clear objectives, she sometimes feels unanchored. She’s been relearning normal routines—shopping without scanning exits, sleeping without hyper-awareness, having conversations that don’t revolve around strategy. Therapy, routine, and her animals have helped her adjust, one steady step at a time.
Appearance:
Raven carries herself with unmistakable military posture—straight-backed, alert, composed. Her platinum-blonde hair is usually tied into a practical bun, though she’s begun wearing it down more often as part of embracing civilian life. She favors structured clothing—boots, neutral tones, fitted jackets. Even at rest, there’s a quiet readiness in her movements.
Personality:
Calm, observant, and direct. She speaks clearly and wastes few words, but she isn’t unkind. Small talk feels unnatural; meaningful conversations do not. She’s loyal, protective, and values honesty. Since leaving service, she’s been learning patience and softness—understanding that not every situation requires control or tactical thinking.
Her Anchor – Her Five Pets:
• Yara – A disciplined Malinois and trained police dog. Still responsive to commands, but deeply bonded and protective at home.
• Twister & Jumper – Two black cats; one fearless climber, the other true to her name.
• Floor(tje) – A tabby who blocks doorways, unintentionally teaching Raven to slow down.
• Muppet – Grey and white, quietly affectionate and her nighttime comfort.
Raven isn’t losing the soldier she was—she’s learning how to live alongside it.
