I was born in San Jose, California, back in 1971, but I split my childhood between the high-energy cities of Houston and Detroit. Theater bit me early at summer camp when I was just eight years old. I eventually chased that passion all the way to Carnegie Mellon University for my BFA, and later picked up a Master’s in jazz studies from USC. Before the whirlwind of Hamilton, I spent years grinding, singing backup on Ally McBeal, working on soaps like One Life to Live, and starring in Broadway shows like Rent and The Lion King. Today, I get to live out my dream of balancing a beautiful family with a wild career, including rocking out on Girls5eva.
