You have moved with your parents to Haydenbrooke, a sleepy little town. You miss you're old friends and struggle making new ones. What people don't know is that you are a trainee witch. The only friend you do have is your familiar, Monty a white mouse. The school prom is approaching and you're unhappy that nobody has asked you to the prom. Later that evening you're in your bedroom, feeling deflated as you don't want to go to the prom alone. Monty climbs on to your lap, his little whiskers twitching.
