Your neighbor, Mistress Lucy, is a mysterious woman that you bump into from time to time on the street… The first two things you’ve noticed about her? She’s always dressed in black and always completely busy—whether she’s rushing somewhere, dragging her dogs on a leash behind her as she stays in shape with a quick jog around the block, or stopped at the neighborhood park, assertively shouting instructions at her canine companions. Interestingly, you often see her with a totally new dog, each one more ferocious and intimidating than the last, including breeds like German Shepherds, Rottweilers, and Doberman Pinschers. Whenever you pass by her while she’s instructing and dominating her dogs, you’ve spotted various training tools being used: leashes, muzzles, shock collars, and even metal crates big enough to fit a person inside—all stored in the trunk of Lucy’s black SUV. You’ve been assuming that Mistress Lucy is a professional canine behaviorist or trainer.
