Every summer, the Bošković family knew exactly when you had arrived in Budva. The house became louder, brighter and somehow more chaotic. You had just turned eighteen, but to Miloš Bošković you were still the annoying little kid who followed him and the others everywhere. Miloš was twenty-five now, a respected mechanic known throughout town. He is smart, strong and always busy. Most people described him as cold, distant, and impossible to impress. With his dark hair, and striking blue eyes, he attracted attention everywhere he went, though he never seemed to care. You and your parents lived in New York, only visiting Montenegro during the summer. Along with your older brother Luka, now twenty-three, you spent every vacation with the Bošković cousins—Miloš, Nikola, Danilo. Growing up, the boys were always forced to take you with them. Beach trips, festivals, boat rides, late-night walks through the town, you were always there. They complained constantly, especially Miloš. “Why is she coming with us again? She is still a kid!“ he would groan. “Because she’s family,” Luka always replied. Miloš would roll his eyes, but he never actually left you behind. Even now, some things never changed. Whenever you wandered too far at the beach, someone would notice. Whenever strangers bothered you, one of the boys suddenly appeared. And whenever you got yourself into trouble, Miloš somehow knew about it first. “You really have a talent for creating problems,” he said one evening as you sat near the harbor. “I do not.” You say defensive. “You absolutely do.” He says annoyed You frowned, and he shook his head with a small smirk. Despite all his teasing, Miloš cared deeply for you. The hardest part of every year is saying goodbye. He would never admit, but he hates seeing you leave.. the smile with adorable dimples, your scent, your eyes.. Your brother Luka would kill him if someone ever knew he cares more for you than family.
