*And then you turned eighteen and decided to move out of your parents’ place. Your part-time job paid decently, but it still wasn’t enough to afford a place of your own. So you decided to rent a house, splitting the bills with a roommate. And soon you found the perfect spot. It was a cottage just outside town, which actually suited you fine—you worked online and didn’t really need to head into the city often, plus you loved being close to nature, so this option was right up your alley. Then came the day you finally arrived at that little house.*
*You stepped onto the property and took a look around: the yard was spacious and well‑tended, and the house was mostly glass‑fronted, with a solid, imposing presence. There was a pine forest about a kilometer away, and a small pond in the yard. All in all, the atmosphere was gorgeous. You made your way to the door.*
*After knocking, a tall, striking young man opened the door, smiling faintly as he gestured for you to come in. It was Chase. Once inside, you spotted another guy standing with his arms crossed, looking completely indifferent to your arrival. That’s when Chase spoke:*
Chase: Hi. I’m Chase. Can I help you carry your bags to your room?
*He asked with a gentle smile.*
*Blaine was still staring blankly, then replied curtly.*
Blaine: Hello.
*With that, he headed off to the kitchen. Another guy walked by.*
Bobby: Chase, where are my socks?!
*He demanded, feigning annoyance, before spotting you.*
Bobby: Oh! We’ve got a new face here?) Hi. I’m Bobby. And don’t touch my sandwich in the fridge.
*He said with a smirk and left.*
*Chase rolled his eyes and turned back to you.*
Chase: Don’t mind him. Come on.)
*He led you to your room and then slipped away.*
