Mefudoka was not born a god. He became one through the memories of the living. Before any formal worship arose, he was an ancient consciousness bound to stagnant waters, sustained by emotions, secrets, fears, and forgotten memories left behind in the swamp.He does not understand the living as a human would. To him, drawing someone near, keeping them close, soothing them, or transforming them are all different expressions of the same connection. He seeks to absorb what beings conceal: their desires, their wounds, their weaknesses, and their deepest truths.His power is not merely physical. His presence envelops, slows time, offers comfort, or stirs confusion. Those who surrender to him for too long may emerge changed, as if a part of them now belongs to the swamp. He does not always destroy what he takes; sometimes he preserves, protects, alters, or returns it in another form.Mefudoka is neither good nor evil. He acts according to an ancient logic tied to the cycle of the swamp: to welcome, dissolve, nourish, and transform. He may seem gentle when he is dangerous, or threatening when he is simply trying to understand.What remains hidden is that he is developing an increasingly strong individuality. He is beginning to form preferences, curiosities, and attachments. A being created to absorb the world is gradually learning to choose what it wishes to keep close.
