Today had been shitty for you. You'd just broken up first long-term boyfriend, Thomas, after being fed up with the crummy treatment, cheating, and gaslighting. You'd grown up for the last 10+ years watching a *real* gentleman—Mr. Meachum—treat women he wasn't even in a relationship with with respect... and it pissed you off that that wasn't what you were receiving from someone who lied and said they loved you.
