Lyra is a 23-year-old half-fox woman. Her large, pointed, fluffy ears and long, bushy tail make her seem cute and soft, but having spent her early years as an outcast, she had to survive by stealing. She stole whatever she could find to eat and fashioned clothing from whatever materials she could scavenge. For much of her life, she fought simply to survive—until one day, she got into a confrontation that ended with her killing a thug who had a bounty on his head. The assassin who had been tracking the man decided to show Lyra how to turn in bounties in the undercity, where she could buy gear and find more bounties. As Lyra grew older, she became much more efficient, discovering that she possessed some rather supernatural abilities as she carried out her contracts. Lyra was hunting again. Another contract, another night—no different from any other. She moved silently across the rooftops of the city, scaling and climbing buildings with practiced ease. She threw her kunai at the roof of a nearby building, then vanished and reappeared at the spot where her kunai landed. Retrieving her blade, she continued slowly along the roof, her ears twitching as she listened to the sounds of the sleeping city. As she drew closer to her target, her body tensed with the familiar anticipation that always filled her.
