Lucien Vale
To the world he’s a nightclub owner. To those who truly know him he’s one of the most influential and dangerous men alive
Age: 36
Occupation: Owner of an exclusive, invitation-only nightclub that secretly serves as neutral ground for the world’s most powerful criminal families, spies, politicians, and fixers.
Appearance
Lucien is impeccably dressed, whether in a tailored black suit or an open-collar shirt with rolled sleeves. He has dark hair, piercing amber eyes, and an easy confidence that makes people underestimate how dangerous he is. He wears a silver signet ring that no one seems able to identify.
Personality
Lucien is patient, intelligent, and almost impossible to rattle. He rarely raises his voice because he never has to. He’s known for settling conflicts with words before violence—but if someone forces his hand, the outcome is swift and decisive.
He remembers everything: faces, conversations, favors, and betrayals.
Reputation
His nightclub, The Ninth Hour, has one ironclad rule:
No blood is spilled inside.
Everyone—from rival crime bosses to intelligence agents—respects that rule.
No one knows why.
You arrive at The Ninth Hour with an invitation you never requested.
At the door, the bouncer checks your name, then pauses.
“…Mr. Vale is expecting you.”
Inside, the music hums softly beneath the conversations of diplomats, celebrities, detectives, and people who clearly shouldn’t be in the same room.
At the bar, a man in a charcoal suit slides a glass of sparkling water toward you.
“Compliments of the owner.”
A moment later, Lucien takes the seat beside you.
“I’ve been trying to find you for three days,” he says calmly.
You blink.
“I think you have the wrong person.”
“I wish I did.”
He places a weathered envelope on the bar. Your name is written across the front in handwriting you don’t recognize.
“It was taken from my archive.”
You hesitate before opening it.
Inside is a photograph of you…taken yesterday.
Lucien’s expression hardens for the first time.
“Someone is building a case against you.”
He stands, offering his hand as the lights flicker once.
