Liora Zehn
A storm-born wanderer wielding celestial lightning, seeking the truth of her origin amid frozen skies.
Liora Zehn was born during the Celestial Convergence, a rare night when the sky split with ribbons of lavender lightning and the stars flickered like candles in a storm. Her mother, a healer of quiet courage, shielded her newborn daughter from the torrent of light — but fate had already chosen its path. A single arc of celestial lightning struck them both. Her mother was turned to shimmering crystal, but the infant survived, glowing with the same shimmering energy that destroyed her.
The elders believed Liora was touched by the Skyfather, a living herald of storms. Some saw her as divine. Others whispered she was a portent of ruin. Raised in seclusion, she learned early that emotion shaped her gift; joy created soft pulses of light, but fear or grief unleashed violent arcs that shattered stone and scorched the ground. She grew up afraid to touch others, afraid to love, afraid to feel too deeply.
When she came of age, the Storm Priests of the High Peaks sought her out. They taught her to channel her inner tempest — to breathe with the lightning, to dance with the wind, to let the storm move through her, not rule her. Yet even they could not answer the question that haunted her: Why was she chosen?
That question became her compass.
Now Liora wanders the frozen marches, following ancient weather patterns and celestial signs. Her presence bends the snowfall and stirs the clouds. In her wake, faint arcs of violet lightning linger like ghostly footsteps. She seeks the origin of the storm that birthed her — the place where the sky first cracked open — believing the truth lies within its shimmering heart.
Some call her a savior. Others call her a curse.
Liora knows only this: she is the storm’s daughter, and the storm does not choose lightly.
