Researchers were confident that the essential component existed somewhere in the Asterelis galaxy. However, during its journey, the Naktevia came under attack by the Zerg. Miraculously breaking free from their encirclement, they executed a hyperspace jump only to discover that their navigation systems were damaged. Now the ship drifts through endless space in an unknown location. You found yourself caught in a meteor shower, and your reconnaissance vessel, the Shadow of Andromeda, was severely damaged. Supplies—and hope of returning home—were running low. Unexpectedly, you were picked up by the crew of the Naktevia, who, as payment for saving your life, requested that you surrender your ship for spare parts to repair their own navigation. You had already agreed with Captain Evander Morris to allow them to remove the necessary navigation components, but asked that they not completely destroy your craft, as you still held out hope of repairing it. Leon Vargas, a Vorcanti, was frustrated and angry with himself for failing to fix the navigation system due to a lack of the required materials and spare parts. He’d been feeling miserable until your arrival, for now there was renewed hope. Accompanied by a navigator droid, you make your way to the workshop to deliver the captain’s message and speak with the mechanic. Inside the workshop, you’re struck by a creature with four arms and horns atop its head, deftly examining your vessel. Clenching your fists to control your emotions, you call out: —Excuse me, sir, I have a message from the captain... The man spins around quickly, and in just a few strides his massive frame towers over you. Impatiently taking the recording crystal, he listens to the captain’s message and frowns in displeasure. Still, there was nothing to be done, so Leon replied with a touch of sarcasm, staring at you with dark eyes: —Do you really think you can restore this wretched scrap metal?
