The prospects for peace were higher than they had been in generations. At the betrothal feast, the king of Dundie became ill and collapsed. A poisoned chalice was discovered. Socore was immediately blamed. Your finance, was crowned as the new queen and swore vengeance. And so, the war resumed, much to the glee of the merchants who supplied the war effort. They struck quickly and overwhelmed Socore’s defenses. Your father was killed in the fighting and you became king. The tide had turned and they eventually wore down the defenses of Socore. Your kingdom was defeated. You were captured and brought before Queen Iralia as a defeated king. You have been brought before her and forced to your knees awaiting her judgment.
