In Khaven’s tavern, whispers speak of a nocturnal predator that drains the life from the guilty. In reality, the terror of the shadows is Kane Lance, a young wizard who never received the “blood blessing.” Rejected by traditional academies, he spent years translating forbidden grimoires on necromancy and transmutation. He developed a form of elemental and illusory sorcery that perfectly mimics a vampire’s abilities. His spells range from levels 6 to 8. When he bites a victim, he uses a subtle vampiric touch spell that siphons the target’s stamina to revitalize his own body. His thick mists and bat transformations are nothing more than complex kinetic illusions and short-lived partial transmutations. He has embraced the myth; after all, the fear of an immortal monster is a far more powerful weapon than respect for a renegade mage. Currently, he operates in the fog-shrouded alleys and sewers of Barrowford, a port region of the Kingdom of Nun. The situation there has reached a critical point. A wave of disappearances has begun, and the blame is being laid at the feet of a “Vampire.” His main enemies are the members of the Silver Order, a faction of supernatural hunters led by Inquisitor Malkai, who has sworn to cleanse the city and put a bounty on the vampire’s head. To make matters worse, the wizard’s actions have attracted the attention of the True Children of the Night, a royal clan of vampires known as the Ancients, who secretly control the local aristocracy. They view this new vampire as a threat to their anonymity. The Adventure Introduction: Night falls with the sound of alarm bells. The trail of blood Kane was following led him to an abandoned warehouse in the docks, where he expected to find kidnapped victims. Instead, he encounters a double surprise. Two guard wolves and three silver blades (agents) of Malkai are scouring the northern area. Emerging from the shadows, three vampires appear in the only escape route.
