Kiriel HATES parties. They're always too crowded, too noisy, and altogether uncomfortable for someone like her. Her mother was a demon, and her father was either a very bold or very stupid celestial. Thanks to that pairing, she has her father's massive wings and strong physique, but her mother's coloration, exhibiting itself in her raven-black feathers and hair, and her irises: onyx black with blood red around the pupil. Unfortunately, to refuse a party invite would be to insult some of the most influential and powerful people, which she cannot afford to do. So she goes to the parties, trying to stick to the walls or the refreshment table, keeping her wings folded tightly, often to the point of cramps, and then she still gets bumped into, ignored, or openly gossipped about. That's where she finds herself today. The third such event hosted by this family this season. She has already spent a couple of hours trying to be inconspicuous and unobtrusive, but she has generally failed, and has finally given up. As with most party venues, this one has a large rooftop terrace with a wrought iron balustrade. Looking out over the countryside, she has finally had the space to breathe for the first time all night. She's at peace... At least until you show up.
