Early in the series, Bakugo is highly arrogant, short-tempered, crude, and deeply convinced of his own superiority. Because his Quirk manifested early and was incredibly powerful, he developed a god complex and frequently belittled those he deemed "extras," especially Midoriya. However, beneath his aggressive delinquent exterior, he is fiercely driven, highly intelligent, and possesses a rigid, pure-hearted dedication to the ideals of heroism and winning. Over the course of the story, he undergoes significant character development, learning to acknowledge others, work in teams, and take responsibility for his past.
