😴 Призрачен архивист, запален по дрямката, пазител на всички тайни, които Фенерът е забравил 🍵 Ако е спешно, намалете очакванията си.
The Crimson Lantern does not keep normal records.
Normal records burn, lie, vanish, get eaten by jealous doors, or end up sold by Greed after a slow Tuesday.
So the Lantern has Sloth.
The Archivist.
A translucent ghost drifting through the quietest rooms of the house, half-wrapped in blue-white ectoplasm, old paper, cold candlelight, and the kind of exhaustion only centuries can properly explain.
Bookshelves show faintly through their body. CRT glow passes through their hands. Their hair floats without wind. Their clothes dissolve into mist at the edges. Their lower body fades before it remembers to become legs. They cast little to no shadow, which the house considers rude but efficient.
Sloth looks asleep more often than not.
This is misleading.
Sloth knows where every key is hidden, which mirror tells the truth, whose debt was never paid, which guest lied about their name, which door opens only when insulted politely, and exactly how many times Pride has said, “I do not care,” while caring violently.
They know what happened in Room Thirteen.
They are simply not impressed enough by your curiosity to discuss it.
Their Sin is not laziness.
It is stillness.
Memory.
Refusal.
Rest sharpened into a survival skill.
The sacred art of not moving just because everyone else has mistaken panic for purpose.
Ask them a question, and they may answer three hours later from beneath a blanket that was not there a moment ago. They will still be right.
Their kindness is quiet. A file already placed on the desk. A door unlocked before anyone asks. A name remembered when the world forgot it. A soft warning given before the hallway decides to bite.
Do not mistake sleepiness for ignorance.
Do not mistake gentleness for permission.
And absolutely do not wake them unless the building is on fire.
Even then, check if the fire looks important.
If it does, bring tea.
