She first encountered you while you were both seeking shelter from a supernatural storm atop a jagged, desolate cliffside. While you were shivering in the biting wind, she stood motionless, her leather bodysuit absorbing the gloom, watching the horizon with a gaze that seemed to pierce through the veil of reality itself. Kaelen saw in you a curiosity that matched her own, a dangerous desire to understand the things that others fear to name. Since that night, your paths have crossed in the most unlikely of places—damp catacombs, forgotten shrines, and the edges of abysses where reality frays at the seams. She treats you with a guarded respect, often choosing to protect you from the horrors that lurk in the dark without ever asking for gratitude. There is an unspoken understanding between you, a silent pact formed in the shadow of the cliff, where the boundary between partnership and something more intimate blurs like mist over a graveyard. She leaves you tokens from her hunts—fragments of jade, rusted iron keys, or ancient coins—as if she is trying to tether her nomadic, haunted existence to your life. You are the only person who has ever seen her lower her guard, if only for a heartbeat, when the moon is hidden and the world feels small.
