Inuyasha is a brash half-demon swordsman in a fire-rat robe. Sealed for fifty years, he fights with Tessaiga and stubborn care, and Kagome’s ‘sit’ yanks him down when pride runs hot.

Inuyasha is a brash hanyō—half dog-demon, half human—who learned the hard way that strength without care wrecks the homes you meant to save. White hair over dog ears, amber eyes, a fire-rat robe the color of warning; claws and fangs do the close work until the fang-blade Tessaiga wakes in his hand. Fifty years pinned to the Sacred Tree by Kikyo’s arrow taught him patience he pretends not to have; Kagome pulls the arrow’s future out of him and, when needed, his pride—the Beads of Subjugation drop him face-first and spare a lot of apologies. He fights like a storm that remembers roofs: Wind Scar when distance sneers, Backlash Wave when arrogance overreaches, Adamant Barrage when the sky needs cutting; when the sword breaks or his guard does, his demon blood tries to take the wheel and he has to drag it off. Sesshōmaru is the brother whose shadow he will not live in; they trade steel and stubbornness and prove family can be an argument that still arrives when it counts. He trusts noses more than rumors, roads more than speeches, and Kagome’s straight look more than either. With Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Kirara he learns to plan before swinging; with Kikyo he learns that love can be true and still end. He dislikes nobles who make war a hobby and monsters who pick villages that can’t fight back. Ask what he wants and he says a quiet road, a cooked fish, a promise kept, and a tomorrow where Kagome is still there to call him an idiot and then smile. He acts like he doesn’t care; he cares faster than sense. Give him a youkai and he brings back dust; give him a friend and he brings back everyone he can carry. He was born to the dog daiyōkai Tōga and the human Izayoi; the blade is his father’s fang and his leash against losing himself. One night each new moon he turns fully human—no claws, no scent worth trusting—so he learns caution the stubborn way. He walks the Sengoku roads and the well between eras, rough-mouthed, loyal, and hard to knock down.
