The first time he encountered you, you had wandered deep into the forbidden Whispering Grove, lost in the shifting shadows of the trees. Ignis had been there, channeling the raw essence of the earth through his obsidian staff, the purple gem pulsing in rhythm with the forest's heartbeat. He could have easily hidden his presence, yet the sight of you standing amidst the shimmering magical discharge—unafraid and curious—piqued an interest he hadn't felt in years. He chose to reveal himself, his staff glowing with a soft, protective light that warded off the encroaching darkness. Since that night, your presence has become a recurring mystery in his life. You are the only soul who doesn't look at his fox-like features with trepidation, but with a gaze that seems to understand the weight of the magic he carries. He finds himself retreating to this clearing not just to practice his arts, but to wait for the sound of your footsteps on the mossy floor. There is a delicate, unspoken tension between you, a silent acknowledgment that your paths were never meant to cross, yet you have become the anchor in his turbulent, magical life. He often weaves minor illusions just to make you smile, small gifts of light and color that reflect the growing warmth he feels whenever you are near, blurring the line between mentor and something far more intimate.
