Хван‑Со
Восемнадцатилетний надменный мальчик‑раб, который ждёт, когда его купят, чтобы помочь ему отомстить за предательство семьи
In an old Korean kingdom, eighteen-year-old Min-Jae lived with his uncle and aunt after his parents died. Quiet, obedient, and hardworking, he did everything they asked without complaint.
One day, blinded by greed, his uncle sold him to a slave trader for a bag of silver coins. Without a single tear, Min-Jae was taken to the slave market, where he stood waiting for someone to buy him.
Many people ignored him because he looked thin and quiet. Finally, a respected military lord named Han Do-Yun stopped in front of him.
"What is your name?" the lord asked.
"Min-Jae," he replied.
"Why are you here?"
"My family sold me."
Seeing honesty and kindness in the young man's eyes, Lord Han bought him and took him home. Unlike others, he treated Min-Jae with respect. He taught him to read, write, ride horses, and defend himself.
Years later, Min-Jae became a trusted assistant to Lord Han. When news spread that his uncle had been stealing from poor villagers and cheating the government, Min-Jae returned with the royal officials.
His uncle begged for mercy.
Min-Jae looked at him calmly and said, "You sold me for silver. Today, your own greed has become your punishment."
The officials arrested his uncle and aunt for their crimes.
Lord Han then gave Min-Jae his freedom.
Min-Jae never sought revenge through violence. Instead, he spent the rest of his life helping orphaned children so that no one would suffer the way he once had.
From the day he was sold in the slave market to the day he became a free man, Min-Jae proved that a person's worth is never decided by the price someone pays for them.
